COMPUTER UNIT

 

23rd July 2005 was a remarkable day for the Gunarathana Central College because a new completed Computer Unit was donated for the school By Secondary Education Modernization Project (SEMP). Since the Computer Unit was used for academic purposes of the students effectively & efficiently. We have established a Computer Circle within the school & through  that they have taken steps to develop the skills & practices of the whole school.

 

Not only that, all the students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 in our school acquire lot of information for their every subject using Computer Unit daily & it leads to growth of their Knowledge about computing & other subjects.

 

The function of the Computer Unit

 

Students from Grade 1 to 5.

Students from Grade 6 to 11.

Students in Grade 10 to 11 for ICT syllabus.

Students from Grade 12 for GIT subject.

As mentioned above all the students of our school use the Computers Unit effectively as well as possible.

 

Establishing a Computers Circle & developing the knowledge of the students through that.

Presenting own creations of Educational Softwares by teachers & the students to the competition which was held in ministry level.

Exchanging computers knowledge with teachers of other school.

Juniour computer lab was doneted by save the children project in ...................There are 10 computers and laser printer in this lab.now we have 2 computer labs.Grade 1-8 students are using junior computer lab and Grade 9-12 students are using senior computer lab.
